The annual President versus Vice-President’s match was staged at Vistabella Bowls Club this year.After a fine morning’s bowling, John Albutt’s team won and he joined his Vice-President, Sue Cooper and the players for lunch.

Among those invited were June Jones and Russell Marks, newly-returned from their fine performance representing Spain in the World Singles Champion-of Champions in New Zealand.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
