VILLAR PALASI SCHOOL COLLECT A TON OF FOOD

Students from the Villar Palasí public school have collected a ton of non-perishable food to be distributed to needy families by the Red Cross in a campaign organized by the children called ‘El baúl navideño’ (The Christmas trunk).

The school has 380 students , of which 28% are from immigrant families. The center’s director, Manuel Otero , explained that this campaign is part of the program of Christmas events which was held last Tuesday at the Teatro Circo.

In the same event there were demonstrations of costume, scenery, theatre (many with the participation of the teachers themselves ) and choreography in which students performed themselves.

The program also included a nativity scene, a Christmas tree and Christmas card competition which also involved their parents. The PTA also organized a Christmas drawing competition which were displayed by the tree.
