ORIHUELA N-332 TO CLOSE FOR BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

The Councillor for the Coast in Orihuela, Martina Scheurer, has announced that the N332 road near La Regia will be completely closed to traffic on the night of Monday the 17th of February, to enable the new footbridge to be moved into place over the road.

The route will re-open in the early hours of Tuesday the 18th, with the bridge still scheduled for opening to pedestrians in early March.

Meanwhile, the central structure of the new footbridge near the new school has been put in place and work is continuing on a footbridge near to the Zenia Boulevard, all on schedule for their anticipated completion next month.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
