The National women’s Rugby Sevens squad from Kazakhstan has chosen the sports complex at Villajoyosa Rugby Club for their preseason preparation, and have been so delighted with what they found that they have now prolonged their stay by three weeks.

They also played a training match with Germany who are using the same facility.

Losebi Tsiskarashvili trained the group, preparing them for their upcoming international tournaments, combining morning sessions on the beach, with fitness exercises and techniques and in the afternoon plays in the field of La Vila.

Services to the development of professional rugby, the optimal weather conditions in the area and its varied gastronomy are still the main attractions for these visiting teams. During this week, the Kazakhstan men’s team arrives to join their team-mates.

Also training at La Vila, following on from the visit of the Russia XV, are the German Women Seven Rugby Team who are preparing for their next European competitions. Bianka Hausler, manager, says the team loves the warm climate of the area and the optimum conditions of Stadium of Rugby La Vila which allows him to work collectively and individually with the players.

The German group are staying at the Hotel Eurotennis along the coast in Vilera and follow the orders of the coach Susanne Wiedemann during the concentration.

Her upcoming aim is that the team qualifies for the Amsterdam International Sevens in May and the Grand Prix Series of FIRA AER. And although it is ambitious goal, they still dream for a place in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
