The crashed car

Officers from the local police of Orihuela detained a Russian man on the Orihuela Costa on Friday, who was suspected of being involved in an altercation in a café bar, during which furniture was broken and threats were issued.

On Saturday, officers made two arrests relating to alcohol offences, one of whom had struck at least eight vehicles whilst driving under the influence of alcohol, two of which were moving and the rest parked on calles Navarra and Tajo.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
