NINETEEN YEAR OLD KNOCKED DOWN IN ROJALES

A person has been injured after being hit by a vehicle on the CV-905 road in Rojales.

A call for assistance was received at 03:10 in Sunday morning, with an emergency ambulance being dispatched to the scene.

The medical crew found a 19 year old victim who had suffered a head injury, and therefore transferred him to the Torrevieja hospital.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
