According to the Baltic News Network, without wealthy buyers from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Latvia’s real estate market would have collapsed a long time ago.

The CIS is made up of nine formerly Soviet states. They occupy the largest and wealthiest block of global nations.

The fear running through the Baltic States is that EU sanctions and U.S. provocations could damage incoming CIS investment. The impact would ripple across Europe. Spain would not be unaffected.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
