LA MANGA CLUB SIGNS PARTNERSHIP WITH POWERLIFTERS

Powerlifting is coming to La Manga

La Manga Club continues in its efforts to position itself as one of the best sports complexes in Europe and is now turning to the sport of weightlifting.

The European EPF, European Powerlifting Federation, and IPF, International Powerlifting Federation, have both reached an agreement with La Manga Club to host their competitions and tournaments for the next 4 years.

Thanks to this agreement, the resort, and more specifically the Spa La Manga Club, where the training base is installed, will host the European Weightlifting Championship in 2015. It will also host other events such as clinics, workshops, training camps or concentrations team.

Jose Asenjo, Director General of La Manga Club says: "In La Manga Club there is room for all kinds of sports, from triathlons, golf, football and tennis to weightlifting, and thanks to such alliances, we can reach a much wider audience ".

With this type of agreement, La Manga Club will continue to promote speciality sports in the Region of Murcia.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
