CHEAP FARES TO MADRID FOR PROCLAMATION

Public transport company ALSA has launched a special offer campaign of cheap fares to Madrid, for those wishing to attend the proclamation event of Filipe VI on Thursday.

The ticket price of 12 or 19 euro, return, is available from a total of 27 Spanish cities served by its network, including Torrevieja, departing on either the 18th or 19th of June, returning on the 19th.

The special Price is available for travel and return to Albacete, Alicante, Aranda de Duero, Barcelona, Benidorm, Bilbao, Burgos, Cartagena, A Coruña, Ferrol, Gijón, Granada, León, Logroño, Lugo, Murcia, Oviedo, Ponferrada, San Sebastián, Santander, Santiago de Compostela, Soria, Torrelavega, Torrevieja, Valladolid, Vitoria and Zaragoza.

Tickets can be booked via the website, www.alsa.es, by telephoning 902 42 22 42, or from their sales offices and bus stations.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
