DECOMPOSED BODY FOUND IN GRAN ALACANT

On her return from a short break away a resident of Gran Alacant arrived home to find the body of her husband, who had been dead for some days and in an advanced state of decomposition.

According to Police sources the body of a man aged between 42 ond 46 years was found by his wife last week in a property in la calle Escandinavia, in Gran Alacant, where it could have been lying for four or five days.

The woman said that she had tried to contact her husband on a number of occasions whilst away from home but without success.

After a preliminary investigation by officers from the Guardia Civil the body was taken by forensic staff with the Brigada de Investigación Judicial del Instituto Armado.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
