APPEAL LAUNCHED TO FIND MISSING TORREVIEJA RESIDENT

The Guardia Civil has launched an appeal for help in trying to locate a 64 year old man who has been missing from his Torrevieja home for a month.

José Francisco Juárez López is described as being “tall”, with long white hair which he frequently wears as a ponytail.

He is said to be well known amongst many citizens of the city, as he worked at a toy shop on calle Fotógrafo Darblade.

Relatives are becoming increasingly worried about his disappearance and ask if anybody knows where he might be, or if they see a man matching his description, to contact the police, Guardia Civil or Protección Civil immediately.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
