PHOTOGRAPHIC COMPETITION FOR TORREVIEJA PENSIONERS

The subject of the photograph should be appropriate to the Third Age.

Torrevieja Councillor for the Third Age, Inmaculada Montesinos said that entry is now open for the 2nd Photographic Competition which is open to individuals aged 65 years or older who are and registered in Torrevieja.

The subject of the photograph should be appropriate to the Third Age.

Photographs must be submitted in print, A4 size, and may be in black and white or color. The deadline for submission of photos is 2pm on Friday, September 26, at the offices of the Department of Senior Citizens, located in Calle Maldonado, No. 5.

Entries will be exhibited from 3 to 17 October at the Municipal Leisure Centre (CMO) inTorrevieja.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
