The Bishop hands a copy of the plan to the Pope

The bishop of the Diocese of Orihuela-Alicante, Jesus Murgui, has had the opportunity to share a few minutes with Pope Francis in Rome last week where he presented the pope with the book of pastoral planning for the Diocese for 2014-2015.

Monsignor Murgui has been in the Vatican City for the last few days where he has attended the International Meeting ‘The pastoral project Evangelii Gaudium’, an event organized by the Pontifical Council for Promoting the New Evangelization.

The diocesan delegation was headed by the bishop himself, who made the journey with three priests and four laymen all from the Orihuela-Alicante Diocese.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
