BBC One kept tradition by coming out on top on Christmas Day with the top five most popular programmes across drama, comedy and entertainment including Mrs Brown’s Boys, EastEnders, Strictly Come Dancing, Call the Midwife and Miranda.
Hit comedy series Mrs Brown’s Boys retained the Christmas Day crown for the second year running and was the most watched programme on Christmas Day in 2014, with an average audience of 7.6 million viewers.

5 – Miranda/BBC One – 6.7 million – 27.6 % share.
6 – Coronation Street/ITV1 – 6.6 million – 26.1% share.
7 – Doctor Who/BBCOne – 6.3 million – 27.5% share.
8 – Downton Abbey/ITV1 – 5.8 million – 23.1% share.
9 – The Queen’s Speech/BBC One – 5.7 million – 37% share.
10 – Emmerdale/ITV1 – 5.7 million – 23% share.
