Unemployment now remains the foremost worry for 78.6% of Spaniards,

The barómetro del CIS, a National Opinion Poll conducted by the Madrid Centre for Social Studies, shows that unemployment remains the problem for 78.6% of Spaniards, a slight decrease from 79.4% in January 2015

However the concern of Spaniards regarding corruption in the country seems to have dropped back, falling by 15 points in the February poll released last week.

Corruption, though, remains the second most concern for 48.5% of citizens, just behind unemployment, but the figures are vastly reduced from those polled last November and December, when they reached 63.8% and 60% respectively.

Unemployment now remains the foremost worry for 78.6% of Spaniards, a slight decrease from 79.4% in January 2015. In third and fourth place are the economy (24.9%) and politicians and the government (22.9). Both of these concerns have also decreased, having previously ranged between 30-35% in the last year.

Health is another major concern for 12.1% of Spaniards, with a monthly rise in February of two points, whilst education worries, at 9.5%, show an increase of nearly 2.5 points.
