LifePaint is described as a new reflective safety spray which is invisible by daylight but glows brightly in the glare of car headlights.

A new product developed by safety conscious car manufacturer Volvo hopes to revolutionise road safety by enabling better visibility for more vulnerable road users.

“The best way to survive a crash is not to crash” is the tagline that accompanies Volvo LifePaint in its promotional message, and the best way of avoiding being hit is to be seen.

LifePaint is described as a new reflective safety spray which is invisible by daylight but glows brightly in the glare of car headlights.

LifePaint washes off and can be applied to clothes, shoes, helmets, pushchairs and of course bikes. Although it was designed for cycle safety, it can be used in many other situations where better visibility might mean the difference between life and death.

It can also be integrated in a fun way for children to not only become more visible, but also have fun whilst staying safe.

Echoing many road safety campaigns around the globe, the company make the bold statement that by 2020, their vision is that no person will be killed or seriously injured by a new Volvo. A bold statement that they hope LifePaint will go some way to achieving.
