Benidorm Resident Killed on N-332

A 36 year old woman was knocked down and killed on the N-332 main coastal road as it runs through El Campello.

The incident occurred at around 00:40 in the early hours of Saturday morning as the victim was walking along the road.

The victim, a Spanish national living in Benidorm, was killed as a result of injuries sustained in the incident.

An investigation has been launched by the Guardia Civil.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
