Last Saturday we had another enjoyable day of rugby. Mountain Ash Youth team from Wales, plus Burgess Hill from England and La Vila. We played together some social rugby from 4 pm until 6 pm after which we inaugurate our sky sport connection and watched European Rugby Cup Final between Toulon and Clermont which Toulon won.
The day ended with a splendid Argentinean barbecue. Everybody really enjoyed
Next Saturday 9th May more rugby at Villajoyosa. From 11 am until 3 pm Alicante Sevens start for under 18, under 16 and women. From 4 pm until 8 pm Senior Sevens will take place. Teams from Alicante, Valencia and Murcia, plus one touring side from UK, Swanage and Wareham. Free entrance. Come and enjoy rugby sevens
But don’t forget our more important sevens, on 23/24 May 2015 which will be played at the New Villajoyosa Rugby Stadium, very near Motorway Exit nº 66 at Villajoyosa. This year is the 29th running of the event, and as usual the tournament is held over two days
The Sevens caters for all levels of senior seven a side rugby, being divided into three sections (National Sides – Invitational sides, Mens and Women, Club sides. This thriving event is supported by Villajoyosa Council, Patronato Turismo Costa Blanca and Benidorm Council

Anyone wishing to come along will find La Vila Rugby Club is situated at Carretera Pantano, Villajoyosa. Just take the motorway AP-7 exit Nº 66 (Villajoyosa). At the first roundabout head for the mountain. It is about 1 km from Motorway exit nº 66. Or take the Villajoyosa by-pass, and take the middle exit, at the first roundabout, bear right towards the motorway entrance and at the second roundabout bear left towards the mountain.
