The annual Decabike cycling family fun day takes places this Sunday in Decathlon stores around the country.

On the Orihuela Costa, the event starts at the Zenia Boulevard store at 10:30, where there will also be entertainment and games for all the family.

The cycle route will then cover 6.5 kilometres of the Orihuela Costa, all at a leisurely pace, enabling those who take part to enjoy a restful ride through the scenery of the coast.

Everybody is welcome to take part, but you must register in advance at the Decathlon store before Saturday.

Cycle helmets are mandatory for those taking part, and more details are available at the store.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
