A special event is taking place in the centre of Torrevieja this weekend, focusing on fun for all the family whilst out shopping.
The event is an attempt to boost trade in the city centre, which has been continually suffering for years since the opening of the Habaneras shopping centre and the Zenia Boulevard more recently, as well as the overall neglect of Torrevieja.
On Friday evening there is a boucy castle in the Plaza de Oriente, with Disney characters walking through the streets, squares and shops, as well as henna workshops in the pedestrian areas.
The Disney characters will return on Saturday morning and then in the evening the bouncy castle will be at the Paseo Vista Alegre, where there will also be Henna and African Dance workshops, followed by a spectacular show later on.
Starting at 9:30 pm, “MUÑECOS DE CUENTO” is a family show that both children and adults will enjoy, with clowns and characters telling such family favourite stories as Cinderella, with appearances from the likes of Mickey & Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy, Olaf, Dora the Explorer and etc, and a circus performance.
On Sunday, the action returns to the Plaza de Oriente in the morning, where a bouncy castle will be in place, and on the Paseo Vista Alegre there will be 5 Formula 1 simulators.
In the evening, the Disney characters will return to the streets with the bouncy castle remaining on the Plaza de Oriente, and the African dance workshop at the Paseo Vista Alegre, accompanied by those 5 Formula 1 simulators.
