Drugs Seized at Cabo de Palos

The Guardia Civil intercepted a boat of the coast of Cabo de Palos on Sunday morning, carrying around 2 tons of hashish.

The boat was detected by the coastal surveillance system with a patrol sent to intercept the craft 5 miles south of Cabo de Palos.

Upon locating and searching the boat, it was escorted to the port and the three occupants arrested.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
