The officers were called in to deal with a suspected domestic violence case involving the man allegedly attacking a female in August in Calviá. The incident occurred on the 3rd of August with the arrest of the man, identified as A.C.J., dating back to the 10th.

The subsequent investigation which was carried out with both agencies revealed the man to be wanted in the UK and being recalled in connection with the murder whilst on probation, as well as ignoring requests for him to return.

Since he was detained the Guardia Civil, British Police and National Crime Agency have been working to complete the necessary formalities to have the man returned to the UK. He had been detained under the terms of a European Arrest Warrant.
