Whatever the weather, come rain or shine, the man and women of the emergency services are always there to help.

During the storms of this week, they have all been pushed to the limit, and yet they are still there, ready to help.

This picture shows one such patrol from the Guardia Civil who tried to push the vehicle in front out of danger, when it had become stranded trying to pass a flooded road.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
