Torrevieja Freezes Water Rates

Torrevieja water supply company AGAMED, part owned by the town hall and Hidrqua, has announced that there will be no increase in the cost of their services in 2016.

The announcement was made following the financial statement for the budget of next year, where Chairperson Jose Manuel Dolón, who is also the mayor of the town, reported a continued investment in the infrastructure of 2.7 million euro and a budget of 215,000 euro to help those with low income.

All major projects to ease flooding with continue, as will the renewal of pipes and supply developments.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
