Witnesses Sought Following Orihuela Arson Attack

On Friday night, two vehicles belonging to officers from Orihuela´s Local Police were destroyed by fire in a suspected arson attack.

The cars were parked outside the Orihuela Costa town hall and were completely destroyed in the incident.

Police are asking for anybody who might have information about the incident, or anubody who saw anything suspicious in the area on Friday evening to come forward.

Information can be reported at the Local Police Station at the Playa Flamenca town hall, or at any law enforcement office locally.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
