The attack happened a few weeks ago, when the woman, who was on holiday in the town, was walking her dog at around six o’clock, when a passerby approached her and began to speak in different languages, according to a statement.

As the tourist did not understand what he said, she went on he way, but the man grabbed her arm tightly “and assaulted her sexually”.

During the struggle others “took advantage of the situation to steal her mobile and various objects from the victim, who was in a state of total helplessness”, according to the report.

The woman had to be assisted in the Emergency Medical Service, after which she filed a complaint with the Guardia Civil, in which she described the perpetrator of the assault, but was unable to see those who stole from her.

In a search of the home of the key suspect the officers found a cap that the victim had described in her statement with a fairly distinctive markings and quite rare, as well as several pieces of clothing that matched clothing worn by the attacker during the incident.
