If you didn’t get a chance to visit the Feria de Sevillanas in Torrevieja a few weeks ago, or if you did and it left you wanting more, then head off to the nearby town of Torrelamata, where they will be holding their own Sevillanas event every day from this Thursday until Sunday.
In the first edition of ‘Sevillanas en los Bares de Torrelamata’, practically the whole of the main square of La Mata will be decked out like a typical scene from a Sevillanas Fair, with authentic ‘casetas’ full of lights, colour and paper lanterns. There will be a prize for the best-decorated bar or restaurant.
Visitors will be treated to all the usual delights from Andalucía such as cheese, ham, roast meat, fried fish and much more.
The event will be open from morning all the way through until the early hours, and each participating bar and restaurant will have its own programme of events that includes plenty of singing and dancing.
Not only that but there will be a whole host of other activities going on in the main square throughout the four days.
Visitors will be given a card that they can get stamped in each establishment, which will then be placed in a draw where the winner will receive a meal for two.
