Germán Andrés Acuña Julio (Columbia, 1992) is all set to play another season with CD Torrevieja, after both parties agreed to renew his contract with the club. Germán plays in the position of right-back and stands out for his speed, energetic bursts across the pitch and his personality in the game.

Germán joined CD Torrevieja towards the end of last season and his good performances on the field were noted by the coaches, convincing them to keep the Columbian player on for another year.

The South-American player has former experience playing for teams such as the Boca Juniors (Columbia), Lotería de Táchira (Venezuela) and UD Ciempozuelos (Spain).

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
