Fantastic Exhibition at the Vista Alegre

6 min read

The Vista Alegre exhibition hall is hosting a beautiful exhibition of artwork which reflects life from the beauty of the environment which surrounds us, often unnoticed, but always in our paths and our past.

Manuel Menárguez has a degree in Fine Arts from the Faculty of BBAA. of San Carlos, Valencia, specialising in mural painting. He is also an interior architect and designer qualified from the Federación Internacional de Arquitectos de Interior en el Colegio Nacional de Diseñadores, and is deputy for the Escuela de Artes Aplicadas y Oficios Artísticos, Valencia.

He has had practical experience receiving mosaic training in Ravenna, Italy, restoration and stained glass in Paris, France and specialisation of works of art in Spain.

From 1986 to the today, he has created more than thirty individual exhibitions in international cities such as Tokyo, New York, Paris, Miami, and also domestic locations such as Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Orihuela, Murcia, Cartagena, Lorca, Molina de Segura and Alcantarillas, as well as participating in numerous group exhibitions.

In each work, I reflect on the environment and the degradation that human beings are irremissibly subjecting it to. We destroy each other, in an excessive desire for self-liquidation.

We do not realise that our time is short, it always turns, it flows and the present is so brief that we cannot grasp it, it escapes us.

“Nobody appreciates time, they use it carelessly, as if it were free”

When I create my works, I always think we should dedicate our efforts and intelligence to find our essence, but we are not cloaks of it, why do not even create the future, the end of tomorrow inexorably becomes today. We live the reflection of what we are and not of what we could be.

My work is of an ethnic, primitive contemporaneity, in which wood and stone coexist forming a whole.

I let intuition, experience, and inner silence flow in each work.

“Life will flow in silence … .. with everything will come death, which, whether you want or not, you have to deliver”
