Town Hall Gives Green Light to Traffic Signal Contract

In the latest meeting of Torrevieja´s council, the tender for the contract for the maintenance of the town´s traffic lights was approved, which will see the town´s signals receive a much needed overhaul.

The four-year contract, which has an option for it to be extended, is valued at a total of 626,380 euro for the duration.

The traffic signals were not the only plan given the green light, approval has been given for the start of the project, with a technician already being appointed, for the contracting of works to for creating a museum environment at the historic Eras de la Sal enclosure.

As is always the case in the monthly meetings, urban planning irregularities were discussed, this time resulting in eleven demolition orders being approved for installations that failed to seek planning permission.
