The Department of Employment and Local Development in Torrevieja has launched a competition aimed at young entrepreneurs, “Premios Jóvenes Emprendedores 2018”.
The contest is aimed at young people under 35, which aims to “reward people with entrepreneurial initiative, linked to the city, who have developed or launched a business project,” said Víctor Ferrández, the councillor responsible for launching the event.
For those eligible to enter, there is a prize fund of 12,000 euro, divided into three prizes: a first prize of 7,000 euro, a second prize of 3,500 euro, and a third 1,500 euro.

Ferrández stressed that this contest is “intended to facilitate support for entrepreneurs who start their business, so that it serves as a stimulus for the creation of new businesses and new jobs in the field of the economy of the municipality of Torrevieja, as well as promoting entrepreneurship among the society of Torrevieja, and promote the cooperative and social economy, among others. The deadline for submission of applications ends on October 29, 2018 at 2:30 p.m.
