The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has reported a total of 3,519 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update. The new cases by province are 483 in Castellón (187,487 in total), 1,030 in Alicante (519,381 in total) and 2,006 in Valencia (819,764 in total).
Of these, 1,711 are from people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 262 from Castellón, 548 from Alicante and 901 from Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 1,006 people admitted with COVID-19, of which 60 are in the ICU: 153 in the province of Castellón, 7 in the ICU; 311 in the province of Alicante, 23 of them in the ICU; and 542 in the province of Valencia, 30 in the ICU.
38 coronavirus deaths have been reported since the last update, all with a death date in the last 7 days. They are 15 women between 54 and 96 years old, and 23 men, between 69 and 94 years old. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 9,768: 1,152 in the province of Castellón, 3,725 in Alicante and 4,891 in Valencia.
