In the first quarter of 2014 Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort will host more than 45 sports teams, all of whom have chosen the resort facilities for their winter training camp during a break in their national leagues.

Amongst the sports and countries being hosted there will be football and cycling teams from Germany , UK, Switzerland and China, including football clubs Biel- Bienne, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Shanghai Shensua, Juventus Zurich, KKA Gent, FC Groningen, FC Henan Jianye and the Quickstep Omega Pharma and Cofidis cycling teams who are using the facility for the third consecutive year.

Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort, is now firmly established as an Elite, International training facility boasting an excellent Mediterranean climate that complements it’s beach setting which can be easily accessed from the hotel. In addition the resort offers four grass football pitches with an 800 capacity stand, an indoor gym with professional fitness equipment and large expansive outdoor areas which are ideal for running and stretching as well as workouts and resistance exercises.

The gymnasium is fitted with state of the art equipment, a Technogym to perform cardiovascular exercise with bicycles, treadmills, etc. and then toning equipment for more specific toning of muscle. There is also a Galileo Fitness platform, a device designed by the European Space Agency (ESA), originally designed for the treatment of osteoporosis and having the same applications for sport. In short, Oliva Nova offers a professional fitness training centre which offers first class facilities to elite athletes regardless of the sport that they follow.
