CIVIC CENTRE CAFE REOPENED

The café bar inside the Orihuela Costa Civic Centre at Alameda del Mar reopened this week, now offering visitors refreshments once again.

The facility had been closed for some time, after the original contract holder resigned from their duties. As such, the process to appoint a new concessionaire had to begin, which is now completed successfully. The new management team are the same group who has successfully ran the Asturias restaurant on the Orihuela Costa for many years.

A focal point for many of Orihuela Costa´s residents, as well as hosting a variety of events and seminars, the Social Welfare department also hold surgeries and conduct various outreach projects from the centre, which provides a vital resource of information and activities for those looking for a little help.

Meanwhile, the Councillor for the Coast is investigating potential aesthetic improvements to the area immediately in the vicinity of the centre, which is located near to the controversial Cala Mosca land on the coast.
