Free Friday Concert in La Mata

There is hardly a more picturesque place, nor a more romantic setting, than watching the sun go down as the birdsong in the Natural Park of La Mata is echoed by classical music on Friday, 28 September, as the latest edition of “Música en el Parque” takes place.

It´s the fourth time the musicians have gathered to perform their scores, including, this year, a special playlist created by the chamber group of Torrevieja´s symphony orchestra, the Grupo de Cámara de la Orquesta Sinfónica de Torrevieja.

The councillor for the environment, Fanny Serrano, accompanied by the manager of Agamed, José Manuel Nadal, launched the event in a press conference, explaining how the fourth edition of this free event, which takes place at the picnic area facing the lagoon, is likely to be busier than ever, but, “we can only have 100 chairs”, on account of it being a protected area, however, since it is an open place, many more people can come to listen to it. Likewise, because of both space and environmental concerns, care sharing is encouraged or even walking or cycling to the event.

The councillor pointed out that the concert time has been set at 6:30 p.m. so that the end coincides with the sunset over the lagoon, which will allow attendees to take some extraordinary images and memories whilst they listen to the music.

The manager of Agamed presented the line-up prepared by the OST: Rondeau from the suite “Abdelazer” and Lascia ch’io Pianga from Handel; Air from the Suite for Bach Orchestra No. 3; Divertimento K 136Mozart -I. Allegro and II. Walking-; Largo (Winter) by Vivaldi, Palladio by Karl Jenkins -I. Allegro-; Life is a beautiful adaptation of Adolfo Arronis; Moon River by Mancini, Oh Sole Mine by E. di Capua (Adapt Iryna Lazaryeva); Oblivion of Piazzolla; and El Choclo (tango) by A. Villoldo. He will act as violin first, Stanislav Tkach, as second violinist, Víctor Manuel Antón Ferrández, as Viola Leticia Cámara Merino and violoncello Iván Pérez Izquierdo.
