On Saturday 10 September, the Women´s Football Competition, Torneo Fútbol Femenino Ciudad de Torrevieja, will be taking place at the Torrevieja Sports City.

There will be two categories in the competition, senior and youth-cadet, and with 12 teams from all over the province of Alicante taking part.

The event has been organised by the Torrevieja Town Hall Sports Department, with the collaboration of SC Torrevieja CF, CFI Alicante, Torrevieja Club de Fútbol, Trofeos del  Mediterráneo,  Turismo Costa Blanca, Diputación de Alicante, and GVA Turisme.

The much awaited La Siesta park in Torrevieja opened on Saturday, with many people attending the event to check out some of the leisure and pleasure facilities now available in this popular area of Torrevieja. The La Siesta park features all kinds of sports pitches, for football, basketball, hockey, and more, as well as the largest paved pump track in the world, according to the town hall. Torrevieja Pump Track Grand Opening
It's been a long time coming, but the La Siesta Skate Park is due to open this week with the inauguration set for Saturday 16 March at 11:00 a.m. The park contains many different facilities for different sports modalities, and there's seating around the entire area.
