Covid hospitalisations increased this week, all other data more stable

Covid Hospitalisations - Alicante Province

The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has reported a total of 1,840 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last update last Friday. The new cases by province are 243 in Castellón (192,775 in total), 443 in Alicante (529,920 in total) and 1,154 in Valencia (840,700 in total).

Of these, 1,144 are from people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 166 from Castellón, 288 from Alicante and 690 from Valencia.

Valencian hospitals currently have 273 people admitted for COVID, 20 of them in the ICU: 32 in the province of Castellón, 2 in the ICU; 80 in the province of Alicante, 7 of them in the ICU (last week it was 75 and the week before, 73), and 161 in the province of Valencia, 11 in the ICU.

12 deaths from coronavirus have been reported since the last update, all with a date of death in the last 7 days except for one case in September. These are 3 women between 86 and 99 years old, and 9 men between 60 and 96. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 10,135: 1,205 in the province of Castellón, 3,865 in Alicante and 5,065 in that of Valencia.
