The Ministry of Universal Health and Public Health has reported a total of 2,139 new cases of coronavirus confirmed by PCR test or through antigen tests since the last Covid update last Friday. Last week, the figure was 1,840. The new cases by province are 301 in Castellón (193,076 in total), 500 in Alicante (530,420 in total) and 1,338 in Valencia (842,038 in total).
Of these, 1,239 are from people over 60 years of age. By provinces: 191 from Castellón, 313 from Alicante and 735 from Valencia.
Valencian hospitals currently have 284 people admitted for COVID (last Friday is was 273), 16 of them in the ICU: 43 in the province of Castellón, 5 in the ICU; 73 in the province of Alicante, 3 of them in the ICU, and 168 in the province of Valencia, 8 in the ICU.
8 coronavirus deaths have been reported since the last update, all with a death date in the last 7 days. These are 5 women between 51 and 88 years old, and 3 men between 66 and 90. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic amounts to 10,143: 1,206 in the province of Castellón, 3,868 in Alicante and 5,069 in that of Valencia.
