The ‘Loco de colores’ exhibition of paintings and small sculptures made from bronze, iron and ceramic, by the artist Catlin Schlosser Bautista, is open until Friday 30 June 2023, from Monday to Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. in the exhibition hall of the Real Club Náutico de Torrevieja.
One of the most outstanding elements of Schlosser’s creations, born in Hungary and later living in Sweden for many years and now living in Torrevieja, are the humanoids, figures that show an image of the mixture between technology and man. These creations invite us to reflect on the relationship between technology and human beings, an increasingly relevant issue in society.
But the artist’s work, which is usually inspired by different themes and techniques, also delves into human emotions. In this exhibition you can find paintings based on spring and summer, two seasons that tend to evoke feelings of joy, vitality and growth.
In addition to her paintings, the Hungarian also practices other branches of the visual arts. The artist creates sculptures in metal, wood, plastic, and ceramic, makes jewellery, and explores various techniques and materials to shape her creativity.
This versatility is reflected in the extensive list of countries where Schlosser has exhibited works, including Cyprus, Canada, Sweden, Romania, Finland, the United States, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, France, Ukraine, and Switzerland.
