The Torrevieja International Auditorium, or Auditorio Internacional De Música De Torrevieja, to give it the full name, was designed by the architect José María Tomás, and opened on 25 March 2011, and stands within around 95,000 square metres of landscaped gardens, next to the Hospital Quironsalud Torrevieja.

The Torrevieja International Auditorium features many different rooms, concert and exhibition spaces, the main auditorium being the symphony hall for 1450 spectators, with a stage that occupies nearly 400 square metres.

There is also a 400 square metre rehearsal room, 8 dressing rooms, and, across the two floors, 7 individual offices, and a boardroom and a Customer Services area.

There is also a “Teaching Conservatory”, which can accommodate 240 students, with separate, functional rooms, including some dedicated to individual instruments.

The Torrevieja International Auditorium is also the home of the Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de Torrevieja, who offer performances throughout the year.

Although the auditorium is nowhere near used as much as it could be, there are a variety of concerts, exhibitions, and shows at various times within the cultural calendar.
