Following the business end of the meeting TAABS were once again on hand to bring Christmas cheer to the December gathering of the Orihuela Costa Branch of the Royal British Legion at their most recent meeting held at the Olympia Restaurant in Mil Palmeras.
Their performance of carols and Christmas songs has now become one of the highlights in the organization’s social calendar but this year their concert had special significance.
It was the very last occasion they sang under the direction of Cathy Carson. Following the ordination of her husband Keith she has decided to spend rather more of her time at his side, providing him with the additional support that his new role will undoubtedly need.
Earlier in the evening Cathy had accepted a certificate of appreciation from the Chairman Keith Carter, thanking both her and the group for the entertainment and support they had provided and wishing her well in her retirement.
She will be replaced as Musical Director by Shirley Godfrey who, for all future bookings, can be reached on 677 313 073.
