As it's a holiday day we thought we'd go and check out the progress of the wibbly, wobbly road. ![]()
It's still closed for 2 months but you can see the new roads that will make up Lagoons Village are taking shape, as are the roundabouts, although they seem a little offset with the roads of Jardin del Mar, but they must know what they're doing...![]()
Talking of which, the drainage hole next to the CV-905 which they filled in has now been dug out again and is mahoosive!!! ![]()
Anyway, have a look if you want, or not, it's up to you, it's 2 minutes slightly speeded up, then 20 seconds really fast, so you have been warned 😁
If you are flying FROM Alcante-Elche Miguel Hernandez Airport over Easter, you might want to allow extra time and get there early as security staff have now confirmed they will resume strike action!![]()
It affects inbounds too, but departures moreso because of the obvious potential delay getting through the security checks, and planes don't tend to wait!![]()
The strike is one hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon again, same as last year, full dates and times are on this article...![]()

A couple of interesting things for you this weekend in #torrevieja ![]()
The book fair starts on Saturday on the Vista Alegre (the picture is from 2011 by the way. Do you remember it?). Shops (most) are open on Sunday. There's a walk and talk at La Mata Natural Park about wine from the area (in Spanish). A Beethoven concert at the International Auditorium (remember the road FROM the auditorium to the Hiperber roundabout is closed). On the roads of Spain the special Easter operation has begun (as of 3 p.m. Friday, lasting until midnight 1 April). It is Easter next week so lots of things in connection with that, such as the Domingo de Ramos in the churches on Sunday.![]()
