“Following the success of their widely acclaimed first show, the pantomime Aladdin, Studio Thirty Two will be performing the musical ‘Sweet Charity’ in June.
Set in a dance hall in New York, "Sweet Charity" is the bittersweet and often humorous story of Charity Hope Valentine, a hostess who falls in love too easily.
The story centres on Charity’s love relationship with a neurotic man, Oscar, whom she meets when they get trapped in an elevator.
The show is filled with energetic songs and dances, including "Big Spender" (made famous by Shirley Bassey) and "Rhythm of Life" (made famous by Sammy Davis Jnr)."
Auditions and rehearsals for ‘Sweet Charity’ will begin in February. For anyone considering ‘treading the boards’ and having fun, come and see us at our open day at Casa Ventura in San Luis on 29th January at 3.30pm where you will be able to find out more about our next show.
