More than twenty volunteers from the protección civil attended a fire prevention training course in San Pedro del Pinatar this weekend.
Members from the Municipal Emergency Services ran the theoretical and practical course, which included, amongst other things, how to identify the different types of fire extinguishers and how to handle hose pipes, as well as fixed fire detection systems and fire fighting.
The attendees were also given instruction on how to identify potential hazards and identifying preventative measures in such cases.
