BAGGED BODY WASHED UP ON ORIHUELA BEACH

An investigation has been opened after a body, wrapped in plastic and taped up, was washed up on the beach at Cala Bosque, in La Zenia on Saturday.

The gruesome discovery was made by a passerby who alerted the police, with officers arriving shortly after receiving the alert, accompanied by medics.

The Guardia Civil and Judicial Police also attended the scene.
