X-Factor runner-up, Marcus Collins, is set to take to the stage with his seven-piece band. He is enjoying his first UK theatre tour and will perform a collection of Motown classics as well as some new material from his second album.
Marcus achieved top 10 success with his first single "Seven Nation Army" which featured on his album "Marcus Collins". He spent much of 2013 touring the UK as Seaweed Stubbs in the popular musical, Hairspray. He will appear at the theatre on 25 September 2014. The show is being brought to the theater by Premier Stage Productions and Paul Holman Associates.
Marcus Collins was born on 15 May 1988. He is an English singer who finished second to Little Mix in the eighth series of The X Factor in 2011. He was mentored by Take That frontman Gary Barlow, who has continued to work with Collins since. His debut album, the self-titled "Marcus Collins" which featured production by the London-based Metrophonic team of Whitney Houston and Cher fame, became his first top 10 UK album which has his single "Mercy". His debut single from the album was "Seven Nation Army", a cover of The White Stripes hit, which also became his first top 10 UK single.
