Last Saturday the City of Torrevieja acknowledged the achievements of sports people across the City from 25 different sports.
Throughout the evening in the Municipal Theatre, awards were made in the “21st Sports Gala”. Awards were made to the under 25’s Best Male and Female from each sport and for Trainers in the Technical Category. The last category being the Best Absoluto Sportsperson, (any age).
Swimmers from Club Natacion Torrevieja received awards in each category. Paula Garcia, Best Female, Elian Rio del Castillo, Best Male, Juanma Martinez, Best Technical and Vicki Connolly Best Absoluto swimmer. Awards were made to Vicky Pignur, Zoe Connolly and Beth Altabas for their outstanding achievements in their sport over the previous season.
The evening showcased videos from each person and outlined their sporting achievements over the 2013-2014 season. It was very clear that Torrevieja Sportsmen and women have excelled in their individual sports and have amassed an outstanding number of trophies and awards from local to national level.
