A student of agricultural engineering in Elche has discovered a new way of manufacturing Vodka, from corn.
Javier Juárez López , a student at the Universidad Miguel Hernández (UMH) de Elche, concludes in his report that that the use of maize products for making vodka could be an important source of income for producers the area, who currently allocate maize to animal feed.
As one of the many principle crops of the Vega Baja, supply has been outgrowing demand. By finding new, important ways of using the products can help to generate income for the growers who may otherwise be struggling.
