Newly appointed manager García Tébar left Orihuela on Monday following the club’s 1-0 defeat to bottom of the table Jove. The defeat leaves Orihuela ninth, three points behind the playoff positions.
The Albacete born coach was only appointed at the beginning of the season but already he has decided that ‘enough is enough’.
He told club President, Antonio Felices, that he was frustrated by Orihuela’s poor start to the season and particularly disappointed by their worst display of the season in the defeat against Jove Espanol.
Nevertheless the President said that the announcement had come as somewhat of a surprise especially Tebar’s declaration of his intention to embark on a new project abroad.
Felices said that he will now take urgent steps to find a new coach who will need to know the Tercera División well and have a reputation of coaching teams that play attractive football.
