A man was killed in Torrevieja on Wednesday night, stabbed in an apparent brawl with his partner´s brother.
Local sources close to the case reveal that the two men had fallen out over an alleged financial debt, which then resulted in a fight at the home of the victim on calle Clemente Gosalvez.
Witnesses say that at around 21:00 on Wednesday night, the alleged perpetrator arrived at the home of the victim in a vehicle, which was then double parked, calling out to him and then attacking him with a kitchen knife.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a man bleeding on the floor with an apparent and serious knife wound, who died shortly after. The officers located the alleged perpetrator in the vicinity of his home, also having suffered knife wounds but alive.
The two men are said to be of Indian origin and well known in the area, with the alleged perpetrator apparently running an Indian restaurant at Aguas Nuevas, and the victim working at another, similar restaurant.
The victim is said to be unmarried and 39 years of age, whereas the alleged perpetrator is also 39 and the father of three children, and is being treated in Torrevieja hospital having also suffered stab wounds.
